Sezzo Snot is a DJ, promoter, radio presenter, writer, booty-shaker and irrepressible energy-source bred in Brisbane. Beginning in 2013, her DJ career has been a rapid upward spiral that’s taken her from creating the first queer/POC club nights of her hometown to Sydney’s dance circuit and festivals all over the country, from performing for Indigenous artists to art galleries such as GoMA, Firstdraft, IMA and MCA, back-up dancing for Big Freedia, support slots for hard-hitting local acts Friendships, Habits, and Dispossessed, as well as international icons Le1f and Coolio.
Since becoming the host of Crystal Crush on Brisbane’s iconic 4ZZZ 102.1FM, Sezzo has cemented her place as High Priestess of the Brisbane Underground, contributing her cultural knowledge to publications, from local feminist zines to interviewing philosophers. Recently relocating to Melbourne, she continues to spread a fearless irreverence for genres, and a love for crushing preconceived norms to everything she touches.
